Kinda Inspired By Tashi & The Monk

Here's a very special KindaMinful recommendation for you. It's a short little documentary called Tashi And The Monk. It's a few years old now, but it is so ridiculously enchanting. I'll just give you a moment to watch the trailer because it's hard to describe.

I know, right! Amazing. If you don't have the time to watch the trailer, I'll give you a quick run down.

Lobsang left his life as a monk to create an orphanage based on trust and compassion. He has his work cut out for him with little Tashi, a wild and untamed soul. Lobsang's patience and compassion is spectacular but even a mindful monk struggles with young Tashi and the despair of the remote and often desperate locals.

Tashi And The Monk packs a mean spiritual punch. It stayed with me for a long time afterwards and certainly fuelled my desire to head to the hills. I'd love to know where they are now as this is a few years old and kids are so changeable. I hope Lobsang is still up on the hill doing his good work.

And wherever Tashi is now, she's finding herself and screaming her name into the mighty Himalayas.

And how good is this? Here is the link to view the FULL DOCUMENTARY FOR FREE! (Duration under 40 minutes).
